Challenge
Jericho Market presented us with a wonderful opportunity to regenerate an old industrial building, turning a large former truck garage into a beautiful grocery store that was sorely needed by the local community.
Solution
We eagerly set to work alongside our talented partners at Christine Burdick design, building out the owner’s vision to transform the space into a welcoming local store with a real Vermont feel. We used real barn board to create barn-sized interior walls onto which we fixed huge maple leaves and raised lettering to indicate departments such as produce, sea food, and deli. We also fabricated large beam structures to secure aisle signs, allowing customers to easily navigate the space.
Along the back wall, Arcana Workshop helped us to design and install a sugarbush wall mural that was 70 feet wide and 16 feet high, along with giant maple sugar tree trucks complete with sap buckets!
Result
We were incredibly proud of the outcome: a beautiful, Vermont-themed grocery store for the local community to enjoy as they gather provisions, creating a fun and rewarding shopping experience.
