History
Sammel Group was established in 2002 as Sammel Sign Company. Over the last two decades, the company has grown from a one-person enterprise operated from the founder’s garage to the team of creative professionals it is today.
In 2021 the company changed to Sammel Group, Innovating Signs + Spaces to better describe the breadth of products and services we offer. Sammel Group was built on repeat business and referrals from extremely happy customers who understood our reputation for producing and installing the finest quality products and providing outstanding customer service.

Steve Ertle
Long time employee and now owner of Sammel Group. With a BA in graphic design and many years working production in both printing and advertising, Steve brings a wealth of design knowledge and customer service skills to Sammel Group. Steve spends his time outside of work enjoying the Vermont outdoors — camping, fishing, and playing disc golf.
Roger Sammel
A woodworker at heart, Roger founded Sammel Group to unleash his creativity and skill in woodworking, manufacturing, and product management to make signs and displays for local businesses. Today, his responsibilities have shifted from owner to being a member of an exceptional team of experienced and dedicated professionals.
Shawn Hatin
Shawn is an expert craftsman with 38 years of woodworking experience, and brings his unique skills and perspective to bear on projects large and small. His steady personality makes him a solid, reliable, and approachable member of the team who is always willing to roll his sleeves up and help out however he can.
Colin Ketcham
A native Vermonter, Colin has a BFA in Graphic Design. He enjoys solving problems and puzzles in creative ways and applies that love to his work. Outside of the shop, Colin spends time hiking, skiing, camping, and playing sports.
